Stamford Motorcyclist Killed After Striking Fence, Tree

A 44-year-old Connecticut man was killed just after midnight on Thursday, Nov. 7, when he was thrown from his motorcycle following a crash in Fairfield County, authorities said.

The man was driving west on Long Ridge Road near Brook Run in Stamford when his 2014 BMW hit a fence and then a tree, authorities said. 

The Stamford man was thrown from the bike and died at the scene, police said. No one was on the motorcycle with him. 

Stamford Police have not released the man's name as they notify his family. 

The crash remains under investigation.
